Before RWBY: Remnants
Before the creation of the RWBY: Remnants fan project in 2020, I created multiple RWBY AU (Alternate Universe) projects. This post is to list them and show their progression leading up to the creation of Remnants.
Timeline of RWBY AUs I made BEFORE REMNANTS
Shattered Tomorrow (2016)

Set during Volume 3, I made this AU at the start of Volume 3, speculating about how the finale would turn out. In it, Cinder opens a giant Grimm portal in the middle of Beacon tower, forcing Team RWBY and much of the other cast to split up into groups and scatter to the other Kingdoms.
RWBY: Visions (2018)

Initially made as a bunch of various AU ideas, later RWBY: Visions would centre around the Wild Hunt, a rival Hunter academy. The Wild Hunt was the first incarnation of Hunters before the formation of the Academies.
After Ozpin creates the Academies, a schism divided the Hunters, with a small number of them breaking off to create their own society outside the Kingdoms, forming the Wild Hunt.
The Wild Hunt believe that it is mankind's duty to fight the Grimm, and view the formation of the Academies as a show of complacency and dependence upon the Kingdoms - they believe Hunters should remain completely divorced from all forms of government.
RWBY: Cherish (2019)

RWBY: Visions was rebranded into RWBY: Cherish shortly after my RWBY AU videos started getting traction on YouTube, leading to the creation of the Switchback Discord server.
During this time, Cherish became a large-scale community project. Many members contributed lore and character ideas to the project, with the grand ambition of creating a story out of it. As it would happen, this led to a lot of ideas and lore, but not a lot of actual creation. As a result, Cherish would be discontinued, with everyone’s contributions archived for fan use.
