A magic-centred setting about Mancers & divinities

Story

A combination of many different ideas and projects over the years, combining into a single idea. If Voyager was born from a desire to create my own idealistic sci-fi fantasy world, Mancer was concocted from a desire to create my own dark, gothic and sexy fantasy world, akin to media like Hades and Shadow & Bone.

It started from Deathless Lily, a series of yuri comics about witches; then Our Spell Is Steel, a tabletop RPG; then it branched off into Project WAND, a series of visual novels in collaboration with D.

All of these ideas are now collectively folded into the Mancer universe (or Mancerverse if you prefer), whose next incarnation is yet to see its dark birth.

Denizens of Vestige

The world of Vestige is one defined by magic: the power of ancient gods and titans that once ruled the cosmos.

The first mages, called Mancers, gained magic over millennia by consorting with the old gods: studying under them, slaying them or siring their children. As gods were slain, the mortals plundered their corpses to fashion into their robes and wands. The divine flame was now something mortal hands could shape.

This led to numerous conflicts and battles of succession over centuries, called the Witching Wars. These wars nearly destroyed Vestige in a cataclysm called the Great Flood, and now the remains of divinity and the last strongholds of mortalkind lay on a precarious balance, waiting for the final pin to drop.

Bear the Thrice-Marked Sword, the keen blade of mortalkind encircled all around by the ancient arcane powers. Wield it true, and may your blood run red, Mancer.
